Hiya – welcome to My MP3s – a small and imperfectly formed selection of bigoted opinions about music.

If you are wondering why there is so little here right now it’s because I built this website on 1st January 2007 so it’s a miracle that you are looking at anything at all.  I woke up at six in the morning and had a stroke of inspiration, and by lunchtime it was more or less done.

This site came about because I’ve been running Watch This for a while now and every now and then I would be sitting here listening to some music and wishing I could say something about why or how much I liked it.  But Watch This doesn’t lend itself to music reviews.

And then I remembered I had mymp3s.co.uk laying around gathering dust, so I brushed it off and here it is.

What I hadn’t considered though was that I find it quite easy to write about films, it’s pretty straightforward.  I’m not saying I’m good at it, but at least I can churn them out.  But the thing about music reviews is that my thoughts are more complicated, the reasons I like particular pieces of music are more emotional, so the reality is that I suspect that you’re never going to come along here and find a thousand MP3 reviews, it really is likely to just be a select few.

But the commitment that I make is that I’m writing my reviews from the heart.
